Bebington Dramatic Society excelled itself at the Gladstone Theatre, with David Oliver’s production of The 39 Steps (the brilliant adaptation by Patrick Barlow) with four very talented actors : Les Ebbrell as Richard Hannay, Louise Sinclair-Jones as a beautiful blonde and striking brunette, and Charles Riley and Keith Hill as the two clowns who play all the other parts.
The props, costumes, hats and stage management – all superb. The physical agility and rehearsed movements of the cast superhumanly recaptured the delights of the film. Lighting, music and projections made this show giving IMMENSE pleasure to a full audirence.
