When the Reverend Pottle, the ancient priest who has resided over the sleepy Oxfordshire village of Dibley for decades, passes on to another world, the parishioners are surprised by his replacement – a chocolate-loving, rock’n’roll playing, Sean Bean obsessed vicar. But the biggest shock is that she is a woman!
This hilarious show is a combination of episodes from series 1 and 2, as well as an Easter special. It starts with Geraldine’s arrival in Dibley, and ends with the wedding of Hugo and Alice. All the favourite characters are here : Geraldine, David Horton, Hugo, Alice, Owen, Jim, Frank, and Mrs Cropley. In its 13 years on TV, it won multiple British Academy Television Awards.
